TRADE! NFL Draft Round 1- Denver Broncos Select Jay Cutler
The Denver Broncos have traded up to the St. Louis Ram’s spot at number 11. Huge surprise, I thought the Rams were going to snap up Cutler. I wonder if that’s what the Broncos want to do…hmm.
And now they have. With the 11th overall pick in the 2006 NFL draft the Denver Broncos have selected Jay Cutler, QB, Vanderbilt.
This effectively tells Jake Plummer to pack his bags, and I think it’s a good choice. He’s just not a pressure guy, and he’s never going to take this team all the way. Cutler gives them a young guy with a huge arm (like Elway) with huge potential to go along with it. I’m still trying to find the details of the trade.
The Cleveland Browns are on the clock.
