TRADE! NFL Draft Round 1- Pittsburgh selects Santantio Holmes
With the 25th overall pick in the 2006 NFL draft the Pittsburgh Steelers have selected Santanio Holmes, WR, Ohio State University.
The Steelers definitely need a reciever, but I’m a little surprised they made this move. I had expected them to take Moss, but of course, I also expected Holmes to get taken earlier. The fact that the Steelers kept this year’s first round pick indicates to me that they want to get LenDale White, assuming he’s still there. Very interesting move by the Steelers, but I think it’s a good one. Holmes has a ton of potential.
Edit- they did lose their first round pick. This makes things interesting
Buffalo is on the clock.
