Vanderjagt agrees to deal with Cowboys
Oh well, so the Colts and Patriots aren’t going to do a Vinatieri-Vanderjagt switch.
Instead, Vanderjagt is going to start playing for another team with gross blue and white uniforms- The Dallas Cowboys.
I think both teams win in this case. Under normal conditions the Cowboys probably wouldn’t want to go with Vanderjagt, considering that he’s already 36 years old. Good kickers can be gotten in the Draft (Nate Kaeding), but they can be a little hit-and-miss. I think what really pushed the Cowboys to go after him was the whole merry-go-round deal they had going on last year with no-names like Jose Cortez blowing game winners.
The Colts, on the other hand, get rid of the idiot kicker who could never come through when it mattered most, and replaced him with someone who always did.
