Vince Young returns to Texas
NFL Football at its best. NFL Football at its craziest.
Vince returns
Vince is returning as the starting quarterback of the Tennessee Titans to play the Houston Texans. Houston had a chance to draft Vince and passed him over for a defensive end.
That defensive end is Mario Williams and at 6′7″ and 291 pounds, he is a big boy. So far he has 2.5 sacks and 18 tackles. His best days are ahead of him and this is not supposed to be an indictment against him.
Now Houston did not just pass on Vince, they also passed on Reggie Bush. A player that is proving his versatility and speed will someday make him a great player. To this day, do not understand how Houston could have passed on both of these players.
While it is true that Vince has not exactly set the world on fire, he has showed the athleticism that made him so good in college. Usually it takes a few years for young (no pun intended) quarterbacks to mature in the NFL. Squibster is predicting a bright future for this young man.
It will be interesting to see the reception that Vince Young gets in Houston.
NFL Football Fan Question Would you have taken Vince or Reggie if you were general manager of the Texans?
