by admin on November 24th, 2007

NFL Football at its best. NFL Football at its craziest.

By Guest Blogger, Kori Ellis

At this point of the NFL season, teams around the league are dealing with a multitude of injuries. It’s a part of the game and a part of why it’s too early to tell which teams are going to do well in the playoffs. Each team is an injury away from devastation.

Here’s a look at the prominent injuries heading into Week 12:

QB Donovan McNabb, Philadelphia Eagles
McNabb again wasn’t able to practice and will in all likelihood be unavailable on Sunday.

RB Marshawn Lynch, Buffalo Bills
Lynch will miss his second straight game due to a high ankle sprain.

RB Brandon Jacobs, New York Giants
Sidelined with a hamstring injury, Jacobs is out this week for the Giants.

WR Santonio Holmes, Pittsburgh Steelers
Holmes has been ruled out for Monday night against the Dolphins with an ankle injury.

TE Todd Heap, Baltimore Ravens
Heap has battled hamstring injuries for a while and appears likely to miss yet another week.

S Troy Polamalu, Pittsburgh Steelers
Polamalu, like Holmes, has been ruled out for the Steelers for their game on Monday night.

DT Albert Haynesworth, Tennessee Titans
Haynesworth, arguably the best player on the Titans’ defense, is making strides toward playing after missing the last couple weeks.
