Week 12 NFL Viewing Guide
NFL Football at its best. NFL Football at its craziest.
If you can only watch one game in each time slot, these are the games I would watch:
Morning Game
Houston Texans @ Cleveland Browns
In the last couple years, this would be a game to avoid at all costs. This year, these are two of the more exciting teams in the NFL. The Texans have Andre Johnson and Matt Schaub back healthy and their defense has a bunch of budding stars. The Browns have offensive weapons galore around their surprise quarterback stud Derek Anderson.
PREDICTION: I see the Browns having too much offense for the Texans to handle. The Browns win 31-20.
Afternoon Game
Denver Broncos @ Chicago Bears
This game will be fun to watch for many reasons. First of all, the Broncos seem to play really well or really poorly. Seeing which Broncos team shows up will be interesting. Speaking of really poorly, Rex Grossman is back in the saddle for the Bears and you just never know how he will implode next.
PREDICTION: The Broncos will pull away as Grossman throws a big interception late in the game. The Broncos win 24-20.
Night Game
Philadelphia Eagles @ New England Patriots
The night game will feature Patriots running up the score on another hapless victim. This time that victim will be the Philadelphia Eagles. Without Donovan McNabb, the Eagles are going to get destroyed. It’s just a matter of how lopsided it will become.
PREDICTION: The Eagles keep it close for a couple minutes before Tom Brady gets going. The Patriots win 49-7.
Monday Night
Miami Dolphins @ Pittsburgh Steelers
On MNF, the game itself shouldn’t be too interesting but there should be ample subplots. How will Ricky Williams do after serving his marijuana suspension? Will the 0-10 Dolphins even score a point? Will the Steelers try to run up the score or will they simply run out the clock?
PREDICTION: Dolphins’ quarterback John Beck gets intercepted three times as the Steelers win 28-3.
